Really wish I was still in Ireland to see this exhibit! And also to go to the talk on the liminal and see the film...I love the concept of the liminal, especially in art. I also love that "the linga in these paintings are ovoid and accrue some of the symbolic associations of the ‘egg-shaped cosmos’, a concept that can be traced back to ancient Sanskrit scriptures such as the Brahmanda Purana." Reminds me of feminist postmodern artists who turned the horror vaccui into the full void.
